Virtual Workshops Coming Soon!

After a successful presentation at the Small Museum Association conference today, the Kaleidoscope Heritage Focus team left energized and ready to listen. The conversations that followed our session made one thing clear: there is real demand for flexible, accessible, and practical professional development designed specifically for small museums and solo practitioners. Because of that enthusiasm and thoughtful feedback, we’ve decided to accelerate our plans to launch virtual workshops.

Initially, we’ve structured our programs around in-person gatherings—spaces where museum professionals can connect, share, and problem-solve together. But we also know that travel budgets are tight, staffing is lean, and stepping away from your institution isn’t always possible. Virtual workshops allow us to remove those barriers while keeping what matters most: meaningful conversation, actionable tools, and strategies you can implement immediately.

These upcoming sessions will reflect the same hands-on, realistic approach you’ve come to expect from Kaleidoscope Heritage Focus. Whether we’re discussing volunteer restructuring, website transparency and accessibility, disaster planning for solo practitioners, or exhibit innovation on a shoestring budget, our goal remains the same: to break big challenges into manageable pieces and equip small museums with practical, adaptable solutions.

We’re grateful to the SMA community for helping us recognize that the time is now. Stay tuned for details on topics, dates, and registration. We’re excited to expand access, deepen impact, and continue supporting stories that matter—wherever you are.
